Reiki is a Japanese energetic healing technique that promotes stress reduction and relaxation. The word Reiki, pronounced “REY-key”, means “universal life force energy”. Everything is made up of, and surrounded by, an invisible life force that is energy. Reiki is a high vibration form of this energy. It is an intelligent energy that will go where it is needed and cannot be given without the client’s energetic permission. It is a spiritually guided life force that will bring about balance in your energy and life.
The reason Reiki works is because it is an innate connection to our own healing abilities. Each person has the power to heal themselves, and Reiki will help you remove blockages, balance and restore the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. Each person is made up of matter, and matter is made of energy. Therefore, we are made of energy.
Discovery of Reiki
In 1922, Mikao Usui went on a 21 day meditative retreat on Mount Kurama, Japan. At the beginning of the retreat he picked up 21 pebbles, one to throw away each day. He meditated and fasted every day until the last day when he experienced a spiritual awakening. It is said that in this awakening he was told about the system of Reiki and how to heal through the laying of hands, along with the discovery of four symbols to help with this healing process.
Mikao Usui developed the five Reiki ideals that guide Reiki practitioners, even to this day. These ideals were meant to promote spiritual healing, and improve our relationship with the world around us via Reiki. By integrating the Reiki principals into our daily lives, we can expect to have a more enjoyable life and acknowledge and appreciate the beauty surrounding us.

Reiki Level I
Reiki I is not just an introduction to Reiki, but also to energy and healing. We will discuss the foundations of energy, feeling the body and spirit, and learning to connect to yourself and others in a deeper more meaningful way.
This class is an introduction to Reiki. It is a combination of lecture, discussion, and practical experience. Practice time is included during the course and will include giving and receiving Reiki treatments, using all different hand positions, as well as self-treatments and the basics of Japanese Reiki Techniques.

Reiki II will dive deeper into the foundations of Reiki and how to incorporate Reiki into your daily lives. You will learn three Reiki symbols for empowerment, mental/emotional healing, and distant healing. Building upon the introduction to Reiki, level II will incorporate these new symbols into our practice and move beyond the foundation into the depths of our energy and souls to take healing to the next level.

Holy Fire® III World Peace Karuna Reiki® Master
The word Karuna can be translated as “compassionate action”. When you combine this with Reiki it is a natural extension of traditional Usui Reiki; it helps to diminish suffering of others and help them in their healing process. It is a gentle but more expansive experience with Reiki, delving deeper into the subconscious and expanding our levels of compassion, love, and healing. Karuna Reiki will help bring you closer to more enlightened beings and to help heal, balance, and raise the frequency of the planet as we are much closer to one-ness.
Those who receive initiations into Karuna Reiki often have experiences with their spirit guides, angels, enlightened beings, and have a much deeper connection to the self. Eight symbols are introduced in Karuna Reiki training that deepen the effects of Reiki, release karma and deeply embedded issues, remove blocks quickly, allow us to see the truth, ground us more completely to the Earth.
