What is Energy Medicine?

Energy medicine is mixture of various techniques to review the energies of the body through chakras, the subtle layers of the body, the aura, the nadis, and the energetic poles. Reviewing the energetic body, we will find where energy is lacking, and we will treat it to optimize the flow. Looking at each of the layers of the energetic bodies we will determine the appropriate course of action for an individualized care session. We will create a care plan together on the client’s needs.
How is an Energy Medicine session given?

During a session, the client will lie fully clothed on a massage table. We will start by activating the energies on the body by briskly tapping the meridians to activate the chi. We will then use our hands to call upon various energies to channel through us to work on removing blocks and crystallizations in the chakras and the energy field.
What can I expect after an Energy Medicine session is given?

After a session, clients will often feel deeply relaxed and can feel a sense of release. It is recommended to drink a lot of water as toxins are moving through your body to be released and to rest.

How is Energy Medicine different from Reiki and LaHoChi?

All three sessions are similar as they all tap into the energy field, however there are minor differences in the way the energy is treated. In an energy medicine session we primarily focus on working on each of the energetic bodies to improve circulation and balance systematically reviewing each of the layers of the subtle body and working on them meticulously. In Reiki and LaHoChi sessions there is more freedom to explore the energy field and have a more free flowing session. We are also able to easily work with energies from the past, present, and future to help healing be promoted through the various timelines.
Is Energy Medicine Safe?

Yes, energy medicine is safe. It’s a great way to promote balance between the body and the mind, induce a relaxed state of being, and improve vitality and flow of life source energy.
I am pregnant, can I have an Energy Medicine session?

Yes, you can have a modified session for relaxation, improved circulation, improvement of vital life energy, etc.
How often should I have an Energy Medicine session?

After your first session, we can create a care plan together to decide how often you should come for a session. Often when beginning energy work, we will recommend more frequent sessions, and then following improvement it is recommended on a monthly basis.
Reiki & LaHoChi FAQ

How is a Reiki session given?

During a session, the client will lie fully clothed on a massage table. Energy will be called upon from the universe to be guided to the client to give the most relaxing wonderful feelings. This will balance the chakras and remove stagnant energy to promote a healthy balance in the various bodies. Energy is transmitted through the “laying of hands”. We will hover our hands above your body in various positions, starting from the head, and moving down to the feet. We are not required to touch you physically in order for Reiki to work; this is also why distant Reiki works. We can send Reiki to anywhere in the world through symbols and intentions.
What can I expect after a Reiki session?

How often should I have a Reiki session?

This depends upon the amount of healing you need. Some people will require multiple appointments and should come weekly for an intense healing period, and other people will only require “boost” sessions to help restore balance to chakras and get energy flowing again from time to time. Generally after clearing the main blocks, a monthly session to maintain balance and positive energy flow is recommended.
Is Reiki safe?

Yes! Reiki is an intelligent energy, so it will not go where it is not wanted. Your spirit must allow Reiki to enter in order for Reiki to work. If you truly deep down do not want to receive Reiki, you will not receive it no matter how much someone may send to you.
Are there side effects from Reiki?

Typically, the side effects are very positive, however in rare cases clients who have a lot of stagnant energy to release (and are open energetically to releasing) may feel a small amount of discomfort, might feel dehydrated, and feel very tired. This is the energy working to remove build up of toxins and the body’s natural release mechanism. Please drink a lot of water and rest!

How does LaHoChi help?

LaHoChi repairs the energetic field at a deep level, while opening the body’s 21 energy flows, or chakras and meridian system. LaHoChi facilitates and accelerates connection to the Universe resulting in a higher level of consciousness. LaHoChi includes the benefits of Reiki while elevating the spiritual level of the client.
What does Reiki feel like?

Clients often report sensations of calmness, tingling, warmth, or cool sensations. Some clients feel nothing but that doesn’t mean Reiki doesn’t work! Each person will have a unique experience with reiki.
Can you treat babies with Reiki ?

Yes! We can treat anyone. Babies will often only require a small amount of energy as their bodies are much smaller. We often do not want to touch babies, so we will either hover our hands above the baby, or we will send distance healing.
Can you treat animals with Reiki?

Yes! We often do not want to touch animals if they are in pain, skittish, or hesitant, so we will either hover our hands above the animal, or we will send distance healing.
Is Reiki a religion/cult?

No! Reiki has no religious affiliation and no dogma attached to it. Anyone can learn Reiki should they wish, and we welcome people of all faiths.
Who can learn Reiki?

Anyone can learn Reiki! Even children! When children want to learn Reiki, it will be explained in an abridged version so that they can understand the basics. They will not be expected to retain the same level of knowledge as an adult therefore they will have to re-do their Reiki certificates when they are older and can learn the full history, and impact of Reiki. Depending upon the age of the child, they will likely only be initiated into Reiki Level I and be shown how to place their hands to transmit energy.
How many levels of Reiki are there?

In traditional Usui Reiki there are 3 levels: I, II, and Master/Teacher. Some people teach Master and Teacher as two separate levels : Reiki III ART, and Teacher. In this case, the Level III will initiate you into the master symbol but you will not be able to teach and give initiations into Reiki.
How do I find the right Reiki teacher?

Every person is unique and it is important for you to find someone you are comfortable with. Be certain that your potential teacher is open and honest, and takes their time to answer your questions and thoroughly explain Reiki. Be wary of people who offer discounted courses or are trying to make a quick buck – this goes against the inherent principals of Reiki. Most importantly, be yourself, and feel comfortable with your Reiki teacher!
Can you get more than one Reiki attunement?

Yes. In fact, it is recommended. We often recommend once in a while when you feel the necessity and spirit suggests it, that you have a “boost” attunement to help realign your chakras and energy and to open the flow from any blockages.
What is LaHoChi?

LaHoChi is a high frequency consciousness that activates the chi in the individual to bring more vitality, more life force, and a higher connection to spirit. LaHoChi works on the superconscious level to balance the chakras and open the blocks in the meridians so a restructuring of the vital body can take place. It will lift and dissolve emotional, mental, and physical pain allowing significant improvement of the self.
How are Reiki treatments different than LaHoChi treatments?

The treatments are essentially the same except the position of the hands and the energy flowing to the client comes from a different source.
Is LaHoChi better than Reiki?

Neither one nor the other is ‘better’. Each energy healing system has a purpose. Which one you choose will depend upon what your intentions are for your healing journey.

General FAQ
What about COVID-19 and illnesses?

If you are showing signs of illness, please contact us to reschedule your appointment. We have always had the capacity to do our appointments virtually, and continue to do so through services such as Zoom, or Whatsapp, etc. This was already set up pre-COVID and will continue to remain as one of our ways to reach people across the world. Distance sessions do not require to be done via Zoom, but we can always choose a specific date and time for the healing energy to be sent and it will still have the same effect as an in-person session.
Are you still doing in-person appointments?

Yes. We are now located in the lower Laurentians, a 45 minute drive outside Montreal.
I don’t live in Montreal/Laurentians, can I still get a treatment?

Yes! We can treat anyone anywhere in the world through distance healing.
Where are your in-person treatments given and is it accessible?

Unfortunately my home is not mobility reduced accessible. I do, however, offer distance healing for all clients. For special requests, I also offer in-home sessions where I can come to you depending upon the location. There is additional fees required for travel.
Can I stop seeing my regular doctor or psychologist?

No! We are not medical professionals and do not pretend to be. Energy Medicine is a wonderful compliment to traditional western medicine. Please do not stop seeing your regular doctor or psychologist, etc.
Do you give insurance receipts?

Yes, we give receipts for naturopathy for Energy Medicine sessions exclusively.
What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations with up to 48 hour notice: may reschedule or receive full refund.

Cancellations within 24 hours of appointment: $35 cancellation fee

No show and no advance notice: charged the full fee for the missed appointment.
Deposit for Courses - What if I need to reschedule?

Your deposit for courses can be transferred to another course within a 1 year period of the original date of the course, with a minimum of 5 days notice prior to the start of the course.
