As we start a new year, it is important to reflect on the past year with an open heart full of gratitude. Although the past year may have been difficult, tumultuous, and stressful, we can take a few moments to focus and reflect on some of the positive aspects.
In doing this, we are increasing the positive energy in our bodies, minds, spirits, and are improving our frequency. The more gratitude we show, the more gratitude we attract.
Things for which we can be grateful:
Friends and Family
Steady employment, or new employment opportunities
Our beloved animal companions
Having a roof over our heads
Food in our bellies
Health, and improving health
How we can state our gratitude:
I am grateful for my kind and caring friends and family members
I am grateful for my current employment
I am thankful to my cat, Mango, for her presence in my life
I am thankful for the roof over my head providing a safe haven
Thank you for this bounty of healthy food I have
Thank you for my continual improving health, and the health of those around me I love
Exercise: Automatic writing
Required items: Paper & Pen, matches, oven proof safe bowl
Get yourself a note pad, and a pen. Without thinking about it, start writing down highlights and lowlights from the past year. Take your time to sit in reflection quietly and allow the thoughts to flow. Don't overthink, just write whatever your heart says to write. Once you have completed this, go back over your notes and review the highlights.
On a new piece of paper, make some gratitude statements about this items in the present tense from your "highlights reel". Hold this paper in your hands and focus on these statements. Allow the gratitude to fill your heart, and body. Sit in silence in this vibration for a few minutes.
When you are finished, you can take your automatic writing page outside to burn it. You can fold it, crumple it, or just hold it up over an oven proof safe bowl when you light the paper on fire. As the flames are burning your words about this past year, imagine all the negative items being released from your body and your spirit, and inviting all things you are grateful for to continue in this next year with eternal gratitude.
